On the outskirts of the Havarra spaceport, Anemone, Hrace, and Morgan are attacked by the Bladehawks. Cut off from the ship and the rest of the crew, they escape into the run-down remains of the old city...

Yay, this took like.. three plus weeks. I was on vacation for one of them. Anyway.

The main idea for this came from the excellent "Hi-Fi Color For Comics: Digital Techniques for Professional Results" book I picked up. The book provides files to practice on, and I took it another step - I decided to make my own comic book "cover", using Astray (the original file is pretty huge). I'm a terribly slow and sloppy inker - that's probably what took the longest, trying to clean it up and have a good inked, comic book-y feel.

I'm sure I've got some errors in here, and I wasn't sure when to get real in-depth detailing or not to, but I decided to stop before I got too hung up on it. I am very proud of it :D I'm pretty sure I'll be messing with more stuff like this.

Textures used came from the Hi-Fi book, and recent Corel Painter magazines.

I took a few detail shots of the main figures, since I shrank it down so much..
